Dan Simpson is a spoken word poet and compère, poetry projects and events organiser, workshop facilitator and writer. He is the current Canterbury Laureate and hosts The Word House in London, alongside co-producing and co-hosting regular events Stand Up & Slam and The Anti-Slam. He has performed at places and events like the National Theatre, Glastonbury Festival, Literary Death Match and Bang Said the Gun. His poetry has featured on the BBC and London Underground, and in publications from Sidekick Books and in Fuselit journal. Dan creates pioneering work with crowdsourced and outdoor poetry, and recently debuted his first solo show We Are All Orange Ghosts at the Edinburgh Fringe.
