Jane James is an educational catalyst, coach and systemic consultant who has worked in schools, colleges, universities and nurseries to develop individual and group capability and creativity. Originally a secondary school teacher, Jane has devoted her career to enabling people to discover and live their potential – most recently using systemic approaches to bring insight and ‘flow’ to individuals, teams and organisations. As well as working in the UK, Jane has travelled widely teaching parents, teachers and leaders about how to apply the systemic ordering principles in families and schools through simple but powerful exercises and activities.
Currently Jane is a leadership coach, action learning facilitator, coaching supervisor and leadership development partner at the University of the West of England. She is a research associate at the University of Bath with a particular interest in school governing and in adult ego development.
Jane is putting the finishing touches to a book she has written for parents capturing the key elements of a systemic approach to family life. Jane has been married for a very long time. She and her husband have four children and two grandchildren.
