All inked up
DAD was invited to take part in UCA’s All inked up artists’ book and print fair organised by Rob McDonald. We were at UCA Canterbury on 12 October 2017 and then at the Brewery Tap space in Folkestone over the weekend.
We were really pleased to be able to showcase books and prints by some of the many artists DAD has worked with over the years. The fair gave us a wonderful opportunity to talk to visitors and we realised how having books and prints to look through makes for good conversation.
We made a few sales and Pierre-Yves Brest’s books were selected for inclusion in the ALL INKED UP Exhibition from Friday 20 October – Thursday 9 November 2017 from 10am till 6pm Monday to Friday at the Herbert Read Gallery, UCA, Canterbury. The exhibition is excellently curated by Rob McDonald and features artists who work within the boundaries of the Artist Book namely Dr Jo Milne, David Faithful, paula roush and Print City.
“The exhibition outlines the diverse nature of the book format, from sequential narrative to mapping and code to installation and interactive pieces. The common thread of the book is also expressed in the Artists production methods through various print methods and sequencing within their work.”
