Big Draw 2017: Kearsney Abbey Gardens

Drawing

The Big Draw in Dover 2017 ‘Living Lines making Drawings move’ got off to a great start, despite the cold, on 22 October in Kearsney Abbey Gardens.

Steph Wallace read an intriguing story, inspired by the Kearsney Parks in Autumn provided by Barry O’Brien of Dover Tales.  After listening to the story everyone went off in groups or on their own to collect, record and draw material for a storyboard which will be used to structure the collaborative animated film based on the story.

Here are a few Video sketches from the day.

The follow up animated film workshop takes place in the Dover Big Local Hub in the Charlton Centre on Wednesday 25 October from 11am – 4pm.

The story was very mysterious and we were being art detectives. I loved it (Poppy  age 7)

really nice to see people engaged and enjoying the activity! (Anita Sedgwick, Community Engagement, Kearsney Parks)
