DAD Artists at Home

I’m working on a continuing conversation about Brexit, and a Placelessness centring on Identity and Place, and I’m worried about cultural appropriation.  While I look for site specific opportunities, I’ve been taking pictures of a disused concrete platform situated over the River Quaggy in Lewisham, and desolate spots between residential buildings. It’s the areas of grass/weeds that interest me as a site and how I can make something perform on that site, a couple of them are literally slithers of wasteland, the dimensions are similar to two rolls of turf.

I have started with turf for the material as our idea of lawns are European. Still a work in progress, there is a homelessness that I am working through, always having before a physical site to stand in.
