Louisa Love at the Kent Miners’ Festival

The first of Louisa Love’s public facing events curated for her work in residence with the Aylesham Heritage centre was her community drawing event at the Kent Miners’ Festival on 31 August 2015.

Louisa invited visitors to either help create a collective drawing for display in the heritage centre or make individual drawings for the Betteshanger country park hoardings. She also devised a drawing tool inspired by the clay kicking tunnelling technique used by miners in WW1 to avoid easy detection.

Rosie James was there to help on the day.
