Louisa Love helping with lantern making at St Richards

Nautical Threads

Louisa Love, who has taken many of the photos at the Nautical Threads drawing workshops, led a special lantern-making workshop for pupils at St Richards, as their teacher unfortunately missed out on the workshop on 18 January 2014. She did a great job as can be seen from the wonderful feedback:

  • My favourite part was sticking all the withies together to make the frame – it was really tricky but it was fun to make.
  •  The best part was doing the tissue paper. It was really sticky but it was fun to get messy and watch the lantern come together.
  •  I really enjoyed the teamwork as the lanterns look really good at the end after we worked together.

The lanterns are being made for a lantern procession on 29 March.
