ReFraming

War & Peace

ReFraming is a film which was completed during Korinna McRobert’s one-month residency in Dover with DAD in July 2012. Born of a Greek Cypriot refugee and a British immigrant, her practice focuses on concepts of hybridity, exile and war with a focus on the body. Where her mother was exiled from the port of Famagusta during the 1974 Turkish invasion of Cyprus, the artist found sanctuary in the port of Dover.

ReFraming, 68 mins, will be shown at The Royal Cinque Ports Yacht Club, 5 Waterloo Crescent, Dover CT16 1LA, on 6 September 2012 at 6.30pm. You do not have to be a member of the Yacht Club to attend.
