Remember Buckland Paper Mill?
Did you work there or know someone who did?

Have you got any photos or newspaper cuttings about the Mill?
Have you got any memories that you would like to share about Buckland Mill?
We are looking for people who have a connection with Buckland Paper Mill in Dover. Maybe you have a connection or could hand this information onto someone who has.

Dover Arts Development (DAD) is creating a temporary ‘story shop’ from :

11am – 6pm Tuesday 16 – Saturday 20 March 2010 at Silvers, the former post office, 15 Bench Street, CT16 1JW, where we will collect and record people’s memories about the Mill and scan any photos or other material people may bring.

The ‘story shop’ is all part of “Watermark” the title of a new documentary film inspired by archive footage of the last Conqueror paper run at Buckland Mill, which closed in 2000.

We would like as many people as possible to drop into the ‘story shop’ and share their memories of the mill. The story shop will be open from 16-20 March inclusive between 11am and 6pm. If you have any old press cuttings, photographs or any other items please bring them along too. We will be scanning cuttings and photos and of course letting you keep the originals. We will also be showing some archive footage of the mill when it was operational.

If it will be difficult for you to get to the story shop please let us know.

Please don’t hesitate to get in touch if anything is unclear. You can email us at info@dadonline.uk or call 07512 309 747 and leave a message we will then get back to you.
